Vrijheidshuis: a rich history

The history of Heuvel 13 goes back to about 1620. During the Eighty Years’ War, Oosterhout was able to construct a new municipal building.

This building also housed the local prison. Named Vrijheidshuis (Freedom House), this building was brought into its current state in the 1990s. Today, Heuvel 13 is one of the most handsome and distinctive properties on the beautiful Heuvel square in Oosterhout.

The building became the first in OomInvest B.V.’s portfolio when it was acquired in 2011.

Beautiful monument on the Heuvel

In the building there are two office spaces (50 and 101 m²) on the ground floor, and two other spaces (50 and 94 m²) on the first floor. These offices are rented out to businesses that are active in commercial services.

Furthermore, Heuvel 13 has a spacious attic, and a generous storage facility in the large basement. With its monumental status, characteristic stairs and beautiful setting, the building really grabs your attention.

There are a number of businesses on the Heuvel, including bars and restaurants with terraces and parking facilities. Heuvel 13 backs on to the gorgeous greenery of Slotpark. It is truly a premium business location, with a strong renown and stunning appearance!
